Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with free agent forward Mats Zuccarello.

Zuccarello, 25, registered 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points, along with 30 penalty minutes in 44 games with Magnitogorsk Metallurg of the KHL this season. He tied for fifth on Metallurg in goals, and ranked sixth on the team in points and assists. 

The Oslo, Norway native returns to the Rangers where he has registered eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points, along with 10 penalty minutes in 52 career regular season contests from 2010-11 to 2011-12, after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent on May 26, 2010. 

Prior to signing with the Rangers, Zuccarello skated in two seasons with MODO of the Swedish Elite League.

Multiple sources confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com that forward Mats Zuccarello has agreed to terms on a contract with the Rangers, although he is still waiting for a release from his current team, the Magnitogorsk Metallurg of the KHL.

The Montreal Canadiens have signed Darren Dietz to a three-year contract.

Dietz has 58 points in 72 games with the WHL's Blades this season.

Dietz is a 19-year-old defenseman.

A few hours after he signed an offer sheet with the Flames, restricted free agent Ryan O'Reilly was back with the Avalanche, according to an ESPN.com report.

The Flames announced earlier Thursday they had signed O'Reilly to a multiyear offer sheet. Colorado had a week to match it, but did so by the end of the day.
